Doha – As part of its commitment to support local community, Al Emadi Hospital hosted a blood donation campaign at the out patient clinics building for its employees and the public. The blood donation drive, collaboration between Al Emadi Hospital and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), was hosted to help increase the blood supply in Qatar.
Dr Mohamed Abdulla Al Emadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “As a private healthcare provider, it is our responsibility to support local community and those in need. We hope to raise awareness and educate our staff through this initiative on numerous benefits of donating blood. We are always keen to host such events at Al Emadi Hospital, which highlights the many ways we can all make an important contribution to local community.”

Al-Emadi Hospital was established in 2004 by Dr Mohamed Abdulla Al Emadi as a private, acute care, general (medical/surgical) hospital to support private healthcare sector and deliver comprehensive medical services and healthcare.
In addition to being accredited by Accreditation Canada International, Al Emadi Hospital has also been accredited in September 2015 as a Center of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (COEMBS) from The Surgical Review Corporation – United States of America, and was the first hospital in Qatar to receive this prestigious acknowledgement. Al Emadi Hospital is also first private healthcare facility to be accredited in Qatar by Ministry of Public Health as CME Facility Accredited Provider.
Moreover, hospital’s chairman, founder and general & bariatric surgery senior consultant, Dr Mohamed Al Emadi, has received the `The Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery’ certificate for his distinguished career and achievements in bariatric and metabolic procedures.
