Doha to play host to `Future Concrete Conference’ on 16 May

Advanced Construction Technology Services (ACTS), is collaborating with American Concrete Institute (ACI) Qatar Chapter for this year’s staging of the `Future Concrete Conference’, which takes place on 16 May in Doha.

Billed as the Middle East’s premier learning event for the construction industry, it will gather once again some of the biggest names in the local and international construction scene to discuss the latest technology developments, create business opportunities and tackle industry issues and challenges.

Prudent management

Khaled Awad, chairman of ACTS and president of ACI, said: “Prudent management of infrastructure projects has never been more important, especially that we are witnessing very selective spending by governments and investors on strategic projects.”

He added: “The right project delivery strategy, the best possible quality resources and appropriate policies and procedures to mitigate risks are just some of the crucial steps needed to ensure a project is successfully completed on time, on budget and with high-quality results.”

Besides expert presentations and panel discussions, Future Concrete will also feature the announcement of the winners of the 2017 ACI Concrete Cylinder Student Competition.
