Mwani Qatar announces completion of Al Wakrah Harbor rehabilitation

Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) has announced the completion of Al Wakrah Harbor rehabilitation according to the schedule set by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.


The harbor berth was completely renovated, old facilities replaced with modern ones and the pavement extended from 120 to 160 meters, with 35 berths and 16 bollards.

Mwani Qatar CEO Capt. Abdulla Al Khanji said: “The harbor’s facilities will help meet needs of boat owners and support economic development in Al Wakrah and adjacent areas through promoting business in a way that serves the national economy.”

Finest materials

Mwani Qatar in coordination with stakeholders took into account the use of the finest and latest materials in the project rehabilitation in an effort to protect the environment and ensure these materials keep pace with the highest standards of safety and quality.

Construction started in October last year, providing appropriate and modern facilities with global standards and specifications to meet the needs of fishermen and boat owners.
